2 Software Developers and 2 Mathematicians

Tangier, Morocco

VIA Software GmbH & Co KG is a software and consulting company based in Germany. Since 1997 we successfully apply our skills in Operations Research, Data Analytics and Information Technology to complex challenges of our customers.

For our new office in Tangier to be opened by 1 September 2018we are looking for talented professionals to push on our development of outstanding web applications for scheduling and revenue management in the aviation branch as well as for staff and project planning for a broad range of customers. We expect individuals with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills who bring passion and dedication to their job and are able to achieve exceptional results for our clients.

Responsibilities for Software developers:

- Design and implement complex cloud based web applications

- Design and develop REST APIs

- Design and develop user interfaces

- Support every aspect of development and implementation

- Lead projects and direct activities of a development team (optional)

- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures as well as government and industry regulations and standards

- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

Responsibilities for Mathematicians:

- Apply mathematical theories and techniques to solve practical problems in business, engineering, the sciences, or other fields

- Use strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data

- Develop and implement complex mathematical and statistical models

- Develop custom analysis tools in a variety of programming languages, e.g. R, SAS, Java

Qualifications for Software developers:

- MS / Engineering degree in Computer Science

- 3+ years of experience in software development

- 1+ years of experience in leading a development team (advantageous)

- Excellent programming skills, especially in Java and/or C#

- Familiarity with

 + Efficient data structures, caching, multithreading, messaging and asynchronous communication

 +Java Frameworks (Spring, Hibernate)

 + Industry standard build / Development tools including: Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Eclipse

- Experience with SQL and NoSQL is desired

- Familiarity with

 + React or Angular

 + Java unit testing

 + One or more App Servers and containers such as Websphere, Weblogic, JBoss, Apache Tomcat etc.

Qualifications for Mathematicians:

- MS / Engineering degree in Mathematics, Operations Research or related fields VIA Software GmbH & Co KG|2018

- Previous experience in similar position (advantageous)

- Excellent programming skills in Java and/or C#

- Excellent skills in R and/or SAS (desired)

- Experience implementing software that handles high availability and concurrency with low latency requirements (advantageous)

Required skills and competences for both Profiles:

- Good knowledge of the English language

- Strong analytical / problem-solving skills

- Attention to detail, high level of accuracy

- Methodical and organized approach to work 

- Ability to effectively collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals located across multiple locations
